This photograph shows Hardy & Greys Coarse Academy member Cathal Hughes casting in excess of 100 metres with a prototype Hardy Marksman 13ft Extreme Feeder rod. During extensive field testing in Ireland in 2009 both Cathal and Coarse Product Development Manager, Dave Coster were astounded at the distances and accuracy they could achieve with this revolutionary high performance rod. Not only did they manage to cast feeders up to an incredible 130 metres, the amazingly sensitive and robust hollow carbon quivertips, which are another unique feature, highlighted bites so much better at such extreme distances. This picture highlights the astounding compression this high modulus carbon rod is capable of achieving, while retaining a superb forgiving fish playing action.
